This is a professional marketing and business development blog, so I keep my posts here focused. However I am a fervent believer in “who you are is what you get.” Therefore, I want to take a moment to talk about the importance of personal transformation during our journey to professional success. You just can’t have one without the other.
What Can I Tell You That Every Self-Help Book Can’t?
Not much, I’m afraid. I can only share my own truth. I do not pretend to know else-wise. I think most people are so busy spouting advice and regurgitated theories that they won’t stop for a minute and experience enough of life to have their own truth to tell. I know because I have often been that person. It’s an easy trap to fall into, especially when in a leadership or coaching position.
I want to invite you inside my intimate space. My truth. I share it at another blog where I put my professional persona aside and I am simply Jaime Mimtun: a woman on her own journey to healing and celebrating spirit, self, and life. I invite you to this new space because it will add dimension to our connection - this relationship between blogger and reader. You’ll see how human I am, the mistakes I make, how scared I can be, and you’ll witness my excitement and joy.
Most professional bloggers are warned not to share this side of themselves with their readers as it can “lessen” or “muddy up” the message. I personally don’t buy that. And I really don’t care if that’s the case. I have an inkling that when you see my own transformational journey you’ll relate to me and my message better. I won’t be a talking head.
